Cogwheel’s Complete Macro Guide
Last updated: 2008-01-10 21:21 PDT
Blizzard has recently started their own official guide to creating macros (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/macroguide-one.html). If you find yourself confused by anything in my guide, take a look at theirs. The different approach may help clarify things. As of this moment, Blizzard’s guide only covers a subset of Part I but they will be making additions in the future.

Np, I never used any weapon switch macros so the first response was a kick in the dark then I realized you could do the /equipslot thing since you can do it with trinkets. Without Purpose, You Cannot Exist. Equip slots in Macros When creating macros based on ’click to use’ items (especially trinkets), the common practice is to enter the actual item name. However Using the numeric designations for an equipment slot is a much more effective method as it eliminates the need to manually modify your macro when you upgrade a particular item. Equip a weapon to default slot: /equip Honed Voidaxe. Equip a trinket to the lower trinket slot: /equipslot 14 Carrot on a Stick. Note: Addons are allowed to use the equipping functions directly, even during combat. By the same mechanism, you can use the equipping slash commands with addons like AfterCast or Chronos. What is a macro?
A macro is simply a list of slash commands. I’m sure you are familiar with some of the more common slash commands:
*/say (/s)
*/whisper (/w, /talk, /t)
*/emote (/e, /em, /me)
*/dance
*Oh, and for you PvPers out there, I mustn’t forget /spit
With macros, not only can we issue commands like these from action buttons, but we can also use many of them at once. Each unique command goes on its own line and is written exactly as you would type it in the chat box. For instance, if you wanted a macro that yelled ’Everybody, dance now!’ and burst you into dance, you would write it thus:
A mostly complete list of slash commands is available at http://www.wowwiki.com/List_of_Slash_Commands though at the time of this writing some of the new commands in 2.0 haven’t been added. WoWWiki is a great source of additional information for macros, especially scripts using the /run command (which will be covered later).
Note: I will take this early opportunity to let you know that macros run all at once. This means that when you click the button, the macro runs each command from start to finish before returning control to the game. This has two important effects. First, if you write a macro that takes a long time to execute (like /run for i=1, 100000000 do end), the game will freeze for as long as it takes to run the macro.
Second, and arguably more important, there is no way to wait in a macro without freezing the game. This fact will become much more apparent when we start dealing with the /cast command and its ilk. Some addons can provide a way to issue a command at a later time, but they can only be used for ’benign’ functions like chatting, emotes, and issuing commands to other addons (though equipping weapons in combat is allowed). How do I make a macro?
First, open up the macro window. You can do this either by opening the main menu and selecting Macros, or by typing /macro (/m) in the chat box. At the top of the window, you’ll see two tabs: General Macros and Yourname Specific Macros. General macros are stored on an account-by-account basis and are shared by all your characters. Character specific macros are, well, I think you can figure this one out yourself. :P Immediately under the tabs is a grid of 18 boxes where the macros are displayed. Under those, there is a single box which displays your currently-selected macro with a Change Name/Icon button next to it. Below that is the edit box where you actually type the macro. Finally, at the bottom you have a number of self-explanatory buttons.
To create a macro, click the New button at the bottom of the window. This brings up another small window off to the side where you choose the icon and type a name for the macro. If you choose the question mark (?) icon, WoW will automatically pick an icon for your macro based on what spells or items are listed in the macro. Once you have chosen an icon and a name, click the Okay button.
A few notes: You can control what icon is shown in place of the question mark with the #show commands. Although you can name two macros the same, it is better to avoid this since some functions of addons or even certain macro commands reference macros by name. You can also add custom icons to the list (see the Part III).
Now you will notice that the macro icon you chose has been added to the 18 boxes mentioned earlier (as much of the name as will fit is also displayed on the icon). The newly created macro will also be selected so now it’s time to start writing your macro. Click in the edit box of the macro window to start typing.
Note: Macros have a 255 character limit. Rumor has it this is because they intend to store macros on the servers some day. For now, though, see Part III below for information on preserving your macros among multiple computers. Note that some addons can provide extended macro capabilities using secure templates.
When you are done typing your macro, simply drag its icon from the grid and place it on an action button. The macro will be automatically saved when you first try to use it or when you close the macros window. Click the button, and there you have it! How do I cast spells?
During the normal course of play, you aren’t likely to type many slash commands that are generally useful for macros. Sure, the occasional emote macro can make for some interesting role playing, but c’mon.. There’s got to be more to it than that..
There is. Enter /cast, the most common command you will see in macros. The /cast command allows you to cast any spell from your (or your pet’s) spell book by name. The simplest case is a command like:
This macro will cast your highest-rank Shadow Word: Pain on your target. It behaves exactly as if you had dragged SW:P onto that spot on your action bar. The action bar code recognizes the spell and will show cooldown and range feedback on the icon. In fact, if you choose the question mark icon I mentioned earlier, the action bar will even show the icon for SW:P.
’Ho, hum,’ you might be thinking.. Why not just put the spell on your bar? Well, that’s where combining multiple commands comes in handy, and this is exactly what makes macros so useful. What if you’re a mage and you want to let your party know that you’re about to sheep something? Well, simply put the cast & /p message in a macro (there are better macros for this task--[insert shameless plug for my CCWarn addon here]--but this is a nice, easy to understand example):
Note: Since the macro is executed all at once, the /p command will be issued when you start the cast, and will not care either way whether you have a valid target or whether Polymorph is on cooldown. This also means you can put the two commands in either order and it will have the same effect. If you want to say something only when you actually cast the spell, check out the addon AfterCast. AfterCast schedules a slash command to run.. well.. after you cast a spell (within the limitations mentioned at the end of ’What is a macro?’). For example: Casting without toggling
As mentioned above, /cast Spell will behave just like you had put Spell on an action bar. This means that toggleable abilities will be toggled on or off each time you run the macro. If instead you want the macro to always activate the spell without toggling, you can add an exclamation mark to the beginning of the spell name. For example, this macro will attempt to activate Auto Shot regardless of whether you are already shooting or not.
This can be used with /castsequence (detailed later) to create a common shot rotation macro for hunters:Notes about spell names and ranks
The /cast command is pretty picky when it comes to your spell name. In order for it to sucessfully cast a spell you must use correct spelling, punctuation, spacing, etc. The best way to guarantee you enter the right name is to open your spell book while writing the macro, place your cursor in the macro where the spell should be, and shift-click the spell in your spell book. This will enter the exact name of the spell including its rank like the following:
You can safely remove the (Rank 5) from the macro and it will automatically pick the highest rank--assuming you want to, of course; there are many situations where it is advantageous to use a particular rank (like specific timing on a Warlock’s banish). Beware, though.. Some spells with parentheses in their name may need some coddling. For example, using shift-click on a Druid’s feral Faerie Fire spell produces the following macro:
If you remove the entire (Rank 2), the internal code that translates the spell name gets confused by (Feral) thinking it is a rank and the spell doesn’t cast. You will have to change it to the following in order for it to work as expected:
The empty parentheses are seen as the rank since they’re at the end. Because they’re empty, the parser picks your highest rank and casts the spell. You can also use empty parentheses for other spells, but with the 255 character limit, space is definitely an issue. How do I use an item/trinket?
Simple answer: the same way you cast a spell. The command for using an item is (you guessed it) /use. Like /cast, its simplest form takes the name of the item you want to use:
There are also a couple other forms of the /use command: /use <inventory slot>
This form of use allows you to use an item in the specified slot. See http://www.wowwiki.com/InventorySlotId for a list of the slot numbers. Example:
Uses whatever is in your top trinket slot. /use <bag> <slot>
You can also use an item in a specific bag location. Lets say you always keep the food you want to feed your pet in the first slot of your backpack. You can easily write a macro to feed your pet as follows:
Bags are numbered 0-4 from right to left (0 is always the backpack) and the slots are numbered starting at 1 going left to right, top to bottom (like reading):
or
Trading risk of confusion for completeness, I’ll let you know that /cast and /use function exactly the same way. /cast can use items and /use can cast spells. This isn’t very useful for simple macros like you’ve seen so far. However, when you start dealing with macro options and sequences you’ll be happy to know that you can intermingle items and spells in the same command.Multiple actions with one click
In general, you cannot cast more than one spell with a single click of a macro. Most spells and some items trigger the global cooldown (GCD) which keeps you from taking too many actions at once. Even if a spell fails to cast, if it would trigger the GCD, it prevents subsequent /casts in the macro from running. This was not the case prior to patch 2.0 which is why you may still come across macros like the following:
Macros like this do not work anymore. As soon as Overpower fails to cast, the game will block all the other spells from casting as well, even though the GCD is not actually triggered.
There is a bit of good news, though. Certain spells can actually be cast at the same time in a single macro. Any spell that is instant and does not trigger the GCD can be followed by another cast (’Next Melee’ abilities like Heroic Strike fall under this category too). The spell’s tooltip will tell you if it’s instant, but you have to use the spell (or check a spell database site like thottbot.com) to know if it triggers the GCD. Example: Targeting
Targeting is another common task in macros. This is accomplished either by using dedicated targeting slash commands which actually change your target or by using the [target=] macro option on commands that accept them. When you use the macro option, you are actually casting the spell or using the item directly on the unit without changing targets. Macro options will be covered in great detail in Part II. For now, I’ll show you how to use the targeting commands.
The most basic targeting command (unsurprisingly) is /target. Its use is as simple as
/target does a closest match which means if you do /target Cog and I’m standing near you (and no one named Cog is) it will target me. This is a plus or a minus depending on your situation. Unfortunately, it will also target irrelevant units (like corpses). This makes macros like the following much less useful than they might first appear.
If no Blackwing Mages are around, this might target someone in your raid who happens to have the letters B and L in their name. While they’re safe from the wrath of your curse, it’s still a bit disconcerting. To remedy this situation, patch 2.3 introduced the /targetexact command.
This macro will work more like you might expect though it may target something 100 yards behind you that you don’t really care about.
In addition to specifying the name of someone you would like to target, you can also provide a unit ID. Unit IDs are a way to identify a particular character, mob, NPC, etc. For instance, your current target can always be accessed by the ’target’ unit ID (obviously not the most useful for the command we’re discussing at the moment :P). You yourself are accessed by the ’player’ ID, and if you have a pet it would be referenced by ’pet.’ You can also append ’target’ to the end of any valid unit ID to arrive at that unit’s target. There is a joke about Kevin Bacon involving a macro like:
http://wowprogramming.com/docs/api_types#unitID has a full list of allowed IDs.Other targeting commands
Here is a brief overview of the other targeting commands: /assist
By itself, assist targets your target’s target (e.g. if you are targeting me, and I’m targeting Iriel, /assist would make you target Iriel). You can also provide a name or unit to /assist and you will assist the specified entity:
There is an interface option which will automatically start you attacking if you end up with a hostile target. /cleartarget
Leaves you with no target /targetlasttarget
As the name suggests, this will target your previous target. If you previously had no target, this command will do nothing./targetlastenemy, /targetlastfriend
These commands behave much like /targetlasttarget but will specifically pick your most recent hostile or friendly target. Casino atrium prague poker. /targetenemy, /targetfriend
These commands cycle through the specified type of unit. /targetenemy is like pressing TAB, and /targetfriend is like pressing CTRL-TAB (in the default key bindings). You can also add a parameter of 1 which reverses the direction of the cycle (/targetenemy 1 is like pressing SHIFT-TAB).
Note: You can only use these commands once per macro. /targetparty, /targetraid
Cycles through your nearest party or raid members. Like /targetenemy, you can add a 1 to reverse the direction. How do I control my pet?
As mentioned in the spell casting section, you can use /cast to cast your pet’s abilities by name. In fact, Blizzard had to change the name of the Mage elemental’s Frost Nova to Freeze because there was no way to use it in a macro. :P But as everyone with a pet is aware, that’s nowhere near the end of the line for pet control. Luckily the Burning Crusade patches brought us a host of new pet commands:/petattack
Sends your pet to attack your target. You can also specify a name or unit ID and your pet will attack that instead./petfollow
Causes your pet to follow you, cancelling its attack if necessary./petpassive, /petdefensive, /petaggressive
Sets the reaction mode of your pet just like the buttons on your pet bar./petautocaston, /petautocastoff, /petautocasttoggle
These commands manipulate the auto-cast of a given pet spell. The first will always turn auto-cast on, the second will turn it off, and the third will toggle it (just like right-clicking the button). Example:Controlling button feedback and the question mark (?) icon with #show
By default, WoW uses the first spell or item that appears in a macro to show cooldown, range, and availability feedback on the button, and to pick which icon to display when you use the question mark icon. Take our multi-spell macro from earlier as an example:
With this macro, WoW chooses Arcane Power for the feedback. However, this is probably not what you really want. The main point of this spell is to cast Pyroblast. The first few lines merely exist as support spells to make the Pyroblast more effective. You can make the button behave as if Pyroblast were the first spell by adding the following line to the top of the macro:
If you used the question mark icon for the macro, the button will even have the icon of Pyroblast without any extra effort on your part. The parameter to #show (in this case Pyroblast) works the same way as the /cast and /use commands. You can use a spell name, item name, item id (item:12345), inventory slot, or bag and slot numbers.
Similar to #show is #showtooltip. Normally when you mouse over a macro on an action bar, your tooltip displays the name of the macro. This is not incredibly useful most of the time (espe

Connecticut Woman Wins Over 2.3 Million On A Penny Slot At Mohegan Sun 2013-04-17 Jennifer Pendexter from Colchester, Connecticut struck it big on Tuesday, April 16th as she hit a jackpot for over 2.3 million on a Wide-Area Progressive penny slot.

When two casinos in Connecticut opened up for business in the early 90’s, to make life easier they both reached an agreement with the state to pay them 25 percent of their monthly revenues from their slot machines. In accordance with this both the Mohegan Sun along with Foxwoods have had to report their total slots earnings each and every month to the state.
How much anyone wins or loses on the slot machines depends in some part as to what actual machines that they play. For example the Mohegan Sun actually took in $53.5 million dollars in slot revenue just for one month in December 2010. This surprisingly was a 6% decline over the previous year according to sources.
In reporting their numbers, the casino actually revealed some rather interesting information that many may be unaware of, therefore they may wish to pay attention to what was disclosed. Overall in the month of December 2010 a grand total of $673,412,991 was processed through the casino’s slot machines.Mohegan Sun Slot Winners
This may most definitely be hard to believe, but this is not a misprint! This staggering figure is referred to by casinos as the handle. From this amount the casino only kept 7.94% of the total. This means that more than 92% went back to all the gamblers in winnings.
Now, here comes the really interesting bit, some valuable information that may get gamblers re-evaluating their playing strategy before they start dropping their dollars into their favorite slot. Jump poker rules.
The Mohegan Sun also do a breakdown on what machines give the gamblers the very best chances to win. The casino has almost six and a half thousand slots scattered throughout its vast sprawling gaming floors and as most gamblers will attest to it’s easy to toss ones cash into these machines in many different denominations. What these December numbers showed was the cheapest slot machines paid out the worst.Mohegan Sun Slot Winners 2020
On the penny slots, 11% was kept by the casino with players collecting the other 89%. Nickel slots kept 12% returning 88% back to punters. Looking to the other scale of things the $2 slots kept only 2.03% returning 98% to gamblers, and the $10 slots kept a miniscule 1.77% of deposited cash returning 99.23 % to game players! Perhaps time to re-think where the buck should finally stop?

*Can Casinos Tighten Slot Machines
In the April issue of GGB, “That Winning Feeling” by Dr. Katherine Spilde and Dr. Anthony Lucas was published, and immediately the editors got deluged with responses. That “Winning Feeling” presented research that showed slot players could not tell the difference between loose and tight slots in several controlled experiments.
The article and the responses simply deepened the ongoing debate that often pits operators versus manufacturers. Operators say they must keep their slots rather tight because of the costs of the slot games (buying, leasing or participation), and manufacturers urge looser slots so players can enjoy the bonuses that result from longer game play.
*Casinos can and will tighten machines from time to time, but the decision to do so is not taken lightly, and it’s certainly not done with any type of regularity. Unfortunately, it is far more.
*Now the casino is spacing out slot machines, installing hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the property, requiring employees to wear masks and gloves, increasing the frequency of cleanings for.
The following responses from two of the most experienced slot experts in the business—Buddy Frank, a longtime slot director for several casinos, including California’s Pechanga Resort & Casino; and Michael Meczka, a former casino marketing executive and longtime marketing consultant—are a good example of the feedback GGB received about the Spilde/Lucas article.
———————————————————
Can and do casinos change the payout on slot machines? Based on my research that varies on the casino, jurisdiction, type of machine, etc. With the machine it sounds as simple as changing the weight on the reels or swapping out a chip.
Winning With Loose Slots
By Buddy Frank
The debate about slot odds between “stat nerds” and the “on-the-floor” slot operators has been raging for almost a decade. A good example was in the recent GGB article by Dr. Katherine Spilde and Dr. Anthony Lucas.
Sadly, their argument to tighten slots has been winning across the country, and especially in Las Vegas. I think this is a huge error. The irony for me is that while I’m a 30-year “on-the-floor” guy, I’m also a nerd devotee of good statistics. I just don’t think on this topic we’ve found the right stats to use. Therefore, I’m forced to cite experientials and “grandmother” research to argue my points.
Let’s consider the two individual slot machines described in the Spilde/Lucas article: one at 8.01 percent hold and one at 5.91 percent hold. I’ve learned over the years that performance measurements are seldom pure, in that each factor (actual win, theo win, coin-in and handle pulls) can dramatically affect the other.
Imagine you started playing either machine with $100 and lost it straight away with no wins whatsoever (aka the “Buddy Frank Experience”). The house’s coin-in would be $100; the theo win would be either $5.91 or $8.01. The actual win would be $100.
If I were playing a two-coin $1 game, the handle-pull number would be 50. The very next player arriving with $100, but with normal luck, could enjoy hours of play before losing their initial bankroll and have stats that are wildly different, except for the actual win ($100 in both cases). Coin-in could range from $100 to six figures. And theo win would simply be the PAR times the CI. Handle pulls would also skyrocket. A third player may actually leave ahead.
“….if players cannot detect differences in hold percentages, then casino operators may be able to improve game performance by increasing the theoretical hold.”—Spilde & Lucas, April 2017
Those facts bolster the authors’ suggestion that players could have a good or bad experience with either hold setting, and they probably couldn’t tell a tight machine from a loose one in a limited number of trials. So why not try an extreme? If no one will notice going to 8.01 percent; why not jump it from 5.91 percent up to the Nevada legal limit of 25 percent? And, if it weren’t for regulations, why not try 98 percent or 99 percent?
Given current machines’ greater volatilities and hit frequencies (despite tighter slots), I really don’t think you’d notice any difference (except higher profitability) for a certain amount of time if you went to a 1 percent player payback. You know from player data that some folks win, but most loose. As I mentioned above, maybe one player might still win. So 99 percent wouldn’t be that noticeable in a limited number of trials for most folks. Right?
I’m hopeful that most of you said “no,” and instinctively realize that you’d be closed before the end of the year.
So if you agree, then you’re with me that players can feel a change in odds. But only if it’s big enough and not if it’s small? Or maybe only with time? Those of us in operations who have tightened machines in our careers have noticed that profits do increase right away. But it doesn’t last.
There are some good reasons for this. Citing casino lore: all players have either a “monetary” or a “time” budget, and you can’t change either one. The increase in profits from tighter hold is not because those players on monetary budgets dig deeper. They don’t. They just leave sooner than before. But those on time budgets stay the same amount of time as before, but end up spending more.
In my experience, this “increased profitability” lasts about 180 to 270 days, and then there’s a tailspin. Despite what some analysts believe, our guests aren’t stupid. It takes some time, but players do realize that their money doesn’t last as long or that they are paying a lot more for the same entertainment experience. I’ve never seen a casino survey that doesn’t rank “I feel lucky” as one of the most important attributes for guest satisfaction. Why would you risk that?
“A dollar won is twice as sweet as a dollar earned.”—Paul Newman
Think you could recover quickly once you started to see the numbers decline? You can’t! At least not without a lot of pain and incremental expense. Loosening your tight machines takes even longer to make an impact, and requires massive marketing efforts. In the interim, you’ll get a double whammy of looser slots, but fewer customers as you work to rebuild your former base. Simply put, any decision to tighten machines should be done very, very cautiously. The way back is extremely difficult and expensive.
Again, I acknowledge that the short-term math models are against my simple arguments, but consider some real-world examples. In New York, at the Resort World’s Aqueduct property, the nature of their unique VGM machines gives them one of the loosest hold percentages in the country (4.95 percent in 2015-16). But, I can assure you that anyone, anywhere would kill to have their current revenues. Last year, they did almost $200 million more in slot revenue than all 45 casinos in Reno, Nevada combined.
Smoky mountain gambling. Resorts World racino at Aqueduct tops in nation in slot machine revenue generating $57.5 million during May—New York Daily News, June 2016
Speaking of Reno, two casinos there have consistently featured some of the country’s loosest odds. Today, the Atlantis and Peppermill properties are booming, while many others in the area (including some large corporate properties) have struggled. It is not a coincidence that most of them have tighter slots. The Peppermill’s numbers are private, but Atlantis trades as Monarch Casinos (MCRI) on NASDAQ. Take a look at their five- and 10-year growth rates in a much tougher market than Las Vegas.
My last example comes from Oklahoma, where VGT’s Class II machines are wildly popular. Everywhere else, these games seldom perform as well as Class III games (where both are allowed). Many say this is because Oklahoma only allowed Class II for years, and so their players developed an affinity for VGT games. While there’s some truth to this, I think an even more important factor is that early VGT machines only offered loose odds. Until somewhat recently, this manufacturer didn’t even make a machine with a hold over 5 percent, even in pennies. Today, many of these loose VGT games outperformed the much tighter Class III games with PARs of 8 percent to 14 percent in pennies.
Finally, in discussions with CEOs of the top slot manufacturers, all expressed private concerns about the trend to tighter slots. Think about that. Their job is to make their casino clients more money, and thereby sell them more machines. If they thought producing games with higher hold percentages was the way to achieve this, they’d be leading the charge. Admittedly, most have succumbed to the demands from many of the larger corporate customers to produce tighter and tighter hold options. But in private, they shake their heads and worry this trend is going to kill the “Golden Goose” of long-term slot profitability.
“….the gambling equipment industry’s largest trade association found slot machine hold percentages have increased a combined 14.5 percent across the nation over the last 10 years while the revenue from the games has grown just 1.1 percent.”—Las Vegas Review Journal, August 2015
So, just because we in the slot world have the ability to temporarily hide our pricing changes from the public doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. Even “loose” slots have a strong profit margin compared to almost any other form of retail. And now is an especially critical time to be careful when our guest’s expendable time and dollar budgets are already being attacked by Netflix, streaming music, online games, resort fees, paid parking and grandchildren (that last one may just be me).

Imperfect Experiment
It’s wrong to say slot players don’t notice hold differences.
By Michael Meczka
The article by Dr. Katherine Spilde and Dr. Anthony Lucas in the April issue of GGB makes the claim that slot players cannot tell the difference between varying slot holds. This is misleading. To project the findings of four or fewer test games to a casino’s universe of 1,500-plus games is questionable. Then to imply patrons, across all venues, are insensitive to varying hold rates raises even more serious questions.
Granted, infrequent patrons in non-competitive markets may be willing to play high-hold games, as there is no alternative. But frequent patrons in competitive markets are not willing to do so.
While slot pay tables may not be readily visible, the frequent players know from experience which games provide better price/value, allowing longer play time in the casino on their fixed budget. These players are accustomed to, and accepting of, giving the casino their entire budget on the condition the casino reciprocates by allowing them to play longer.
As you know, we are a research group. We are familiar with similar studies. One was a 12-game evaluation with six games set at 9 percent and six games set at 7 percent. All else was equal, including themes, cabinets, location in the casino and pay tables. The result after 120 days was the 7 percent hold games averaged a minimum of 40 percent more coin-in than the 9 percent hold games.
When the frequent patrons in this study were queried why they selected a specific game in the array, the majority simply replied, “I can play longer,” or “It lets me play longer.”
Consider two patrons, each with a $1,000 gaming budget, each playing max coin of $5 per spin at the same game in the same environment. One game has a theoretical of 8 percent and the other a theoretical of 6 percent. Each game was played until the budget was exhausted with no money remaining to cover a $5 wager.
After 2,489 spins, on average, the 8 percent game has exhausted the budget, compared to the 3,321 spins on average required before the 6 percent game exhausts the playing budget. Assuming a spin every 3 seconds, play time would be 2:04 hours for the 8 percent hold game compared to the 3:18 hours for the 6 percent hold game.
The Pareto Principle, which states that 80 percent of revenue will be generated by 20 percent of customers, well applies to frequent patrons in competitive gaming markets.
There is no doubt these more valuable patrons can certainly tell the difference between two and three hours of average play.
In qualitative sessions that we have conducted, these same valuable patrons lament not being able to stay in play for what they consider to be a reasonable time proportionate to their budget.
This Global Gaming Business article would be a great disservice if casino operators adopt a strategy of higher-holding slots based on a four-game study.
The article states, “Further research is necessary and the results cannot be generalized beyond the parameters of this study.” Casino operators are well-advised not to increase hold until further conclusive research, including in-depth probing with avid slot players, is completed.

Slot players are always looking for their one true love. Unlike in affairs of the heart, they want that one true love to be loose.
One can take a quick glance at the slot payback tables in this issue, or any issue, of Strictly Slots to get an idea of which regions of the country have the highest slot machine payout percentages. Conversely, one can also see which areas have the lowest payout percentages. In jurisdictions that report individual percentages, you can also compare one casino to another. Slot or video poker machines that have higher payback percentages are referred to as “loose” while those with lower returns are “tight.”
The slot payout percentages published in Strictly Slots and Casino Player represent the average percent of each slot wager that is returned to the players in jackpots. For penny, nickel, quarter, 50-cent, one-dollar and even five-dollar machines, these percentages tend to reflect a large amount of play. You can be relatively certain that the payback percentage numbers are not only accurate, but valid. Buffet noel casino montreal. However, you can’t be as confident in the statistics for the higher denomination machines such as the 25-dollar and higher limits. These machines generally receive less play and the actual returns can vary widely in the short-term making statistically valid comparisons much less reliable. However, by comparing the payout percentages over a given period of time, readers can get an idea where the loosest and tightest slots can be found.
Realize, of course, that my designations of loose and tight are relative and based on a comparative study. A loose slot is loose in relation to one that is not as loose. Read that sentence again. A loose slot is loose in relation to one that is not as loose. It makes sense doesn’t it? This is Albert Einstein’s Special Slot Theory of Relativity. Now it doesn’t take a genius or a rocket scientist to see that a quarter slot machine returning 95 percent is looser than a quarter slot machine returning 89 or 90 percent.
Let’s suppose a casino’s slot aisles are filled with machines paying back 95 percent and a competing casino’s slot inventory only had 89 to 90 percent payback machines. All other things even, which casino property would make the most money in the long run? I say the casino property with the loose machines would make more money! There are several reasons for this.
First, with looser machines, players have a tendency to have more winning sessions, or lose less during losing sessions. They can also play longer without draining their bankrolls in a short period of time – their session bankrolls last longer! When players tend to win more or lose less at a particular casino, they tend to come back to that casino. The more they win, the more they prefer to play at the casino where these wins take place. Winning makes players happy. A happy customer is one who will come back time and time again. This is the repeat business scenario. The looser casino might not make as much from a player in one visit as a tight casino would, but when that player returns for multiple visits … Let’s just say, I can literally hear the cash register ringing!
Second, a casino with looser slots might win less per player per visit, but it will have many more players to win less from. This means they stand to make more money over time than the casino winning more money from fewer players. Read that again. It makes complete sense, doesn’t it? This isn’t rocket science!
Third, the more repeat visits casino players make to a casino property, the more money they tend to spend in the restaurants, bars, and sundry shops. Not to mention they spend money on hotel rooms and in other retail venues like clothing stores or specialty shops. This can be considered the reverse of collateral damage. It’s actually collateral profitability.
Let’s not forget that happy players tend to tell other players which casinos have made them happy. In short, they spread the glad tidings to their friends, relatives, and even strangers. So our happy player not only returns to play at that casino, but often brings friends and relatives with them on these subsequent visits. One might consider this a “friendly relative enhancement” for that particular casino.
Now, how about those casinos that have relatively tight slot machines? Are they in the forefront when it comes to a player’s long-term slot play? Not hardly! Can Casinos Tighten Slot Machines
Slot aficionados tend to hunt for the better payouts. When they can’t find them or simply get tired of losing, they make fewer trips. These players stay home and eat in their own kitchens and dining rooms. A casino restaurant can’t be full of diners if those potential diners decided to stay home. I think that these tight casinos are simply asking for long-term trouble.
To the casino executives at these tight properties, I say, “Come on! No one likes a tight wad.” These “Silas Marner” properties might make some money in the short-run, but they must recruit new players all the time.* Their crop of current players will often divorce them. Slot players are always looking for their one true love. Unlike in affairs of the heart, they want that one true love to be loose. Can Casinos Tighten Up Slot Machines
So what can you do if you find yourself in an area of the country where your local casinos have super-tight machines? Well, you could write a letter to the slot director. Chances are that that won’t work, however. More than likely the slot directors are probab

Casinos are not without a fair amount of risk. Casinos are highly vulnerable to recessions, as consumers typically cut back heavily on gaming when the economy enters a downturn. The four major casino stocks saw their earnings collapse during the Great Recession. A similar impact has taken place to start 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis, which has battered the casino industry.
We have analyzed the major casino stocks in the Sure Analysis Research Database, which ranks stocks based upon the combination of their dividend yield, earnings-per-share growth potential and valuation to compute expected total returns. The casino industry is in severe distress right now. The spreading coronavirus and resulting global recession have taken their toll on the casino stocks. The large U.S. casinos are heavily reliant on Macau, the largest gaming market in the world and the only market in China where casinos are legal. As a result, these stocks are very sensitive to any developments that affect the gaming activity in Macau.
This was a significant concern several years ago. In 2014, China initiated an anti-corruption regulatory crackdown, which greatly reduced the gaming activity in the area. Fortunately for the casinos, the downturn lasted for approximately two years and gaming activity in Macau recovered thereafter. Then the gaming activity in Macau faced another headwind, namely the trade war between the U.S. and China.
This headwind lasted for only about a year but now Macau is facing its strongest challenge ever, the outbreak of coronavirus, which has caused a huge hit in the gaming business. Casinos were shut down for an extended period due to the coronavirus. Casinos have now reopened but strict visa restrictions and requirements for a negative COVID test have kept tourism at depressed levels and thus they have caused daunting gaming activity in Macau.
As a result, gross gaming revenue in Macau has plunged 80.5% in the first eleven months of this year, compared with the same period last year. The trend was slightly better in November, when gross gaming revenue in Macau declined 70.5% over last year’s month. The high sensitivity of casino stocks to all the developments related to China and their pronounced cyclicality means that investors should pick casino stocks carefully.Top Casino Stock #4: Wynn Resorts (WYNN)
Wynn Resorts owns and operates Wynn Macau and the Wynn Palace in Macau, as well as Wynn Las Vegas and Encore in Las Vegas. The company is now facing the headwind of coronavirus in all the regions in which it operates. Wynn Resorts reported its financial results for the third quarter on 11/5/2020. Cbt gambling. Revenue declined 78% year-over-year to $370.5 million, which was $64 million less than expected. Even worse, the company widened its losses per share sequentially, from $6.14 in the second quarter to $7.04, missing estimates by an eye-opening $3.15.
All the properties of Wynn Resorts were open for nearly the entire third quarter but the results of the company were once again severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic due to the enforced restrictions, including quarantine requirements for tourists, requirements for a negative COVID test, limited number of players at tables and slot machines as well as the significant visa restrictions in Macau.
Due to all the above restrictions, the revenues of Wynn Palace plunged 97%. Revenues for Wynn Macau decreased 89% while Las Vegas revenues decreased 53% year-over-year. Wynn Resorts has suspended its dividend this year in an effort to conserve capital. Notably, the consensus estimates have greatly deteriorated in the last five months, from a call for a loss of $10.84 per share in 2020 in July to a call for a loss of $18.59 in 2020 right now.
On the bright side, some vaccine studies have reported very promising results and billions of vaccines will be distributed worldwide in 2021. As a result, Wynn Resorts will have ample room to grow in the upcoming years thanks to its promising growth pipeline.
Source: Investor Presentation
The company has made progress in the design of Crystal Pavilion in Macau, which will be a major tourist attraction. In addition, Encore Boston Harbor opened in June-2019 and has exhibited decent performance so far so it has promising growth prospects ahead thanks to expected ramp-up in activity. Moreover, Wynn Resorts aims to expand to Japan, which legalized casino gambling three years ago, though it will take many years before the company opens a casino in Japan.
On the other hand, the company has been caught off guard, with net debt of $10.8 billion, which is 88% of the current market capitalization of the stock. Therefore, the stock is carrying an increased amount of risk right now due to its high level of debt.
However, we believe that the coronavirus crisis will subside at the second half of next year and we view the long-term growth prospects of the company as intact. We expect 4% annual earnings-per-share growth off their mid-cycle level through 2025. Using the company’s current assets, return on assets of 5.6% over the last decade and share count, we believe Wynn Resorts has earnings power of $1.89. We will use this figure to calculate fair value and projected return.
Based on the earnings power estimate for 2020, the stock is currently trading at a P/E ratio of 51.8, which is much higher than its historical average of 30.1. However, the stock traded at abnormally high P/E ratios in some years due to depressed earnings in those years.
For instance, the abnormally rich valuation of the stock during 2015-2017 resulted from the market’s view that the downturn in Macau was temporary. Our target P/E ratio of 18 reflects uncertainty regarding Macau and the coronavirus. If shares reverted to our target P/E by 2025, then valuation would be a 19% headwind to annual returns over this time period.
If the stock reaches our fair valuation level over the next five years, it would reduce shareholder returns by 19%, effectively wiping out earnings growth and dividends over that time period. In other words, the market has already priced a strong recovery from the pandemic in the stock of Wynn Resorts. In addition, the stock is markedly volatile due to its high debt load, which is an additional risk factor.
As a result, only those who can stomach extreme stock price volatility and have confidence in the ability of Wynn Resorts to navigate through the current crisis may consider buying the stock but even those investors should wait for a better entry point.Top Casino Stock #3: MGM Resorts (MGM)
MGM Resorts owns and operates casinos, hotels and conference halls in the U.S. and China. The company has the least exposure to Macau in this group of stocks. As a result, it suffered much less than its peers from the trade war between the U.S. and China and the protests of people in Macau a few months ago.
However, the company is highly exposed to the outbreak of coronavirus, just like its peers. Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, MGM Resorts suspended all its casino operations in Las Vegas for a considerable period in the second quarter.
In late October, MGM Resorts reported (10/29/20) financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2020. The company had all its properties open at the end of the quarter. However, its revenue plunged 66% over last year’s quarter due to the suspension of the operations of the company in the U.S. for part of the quarter and a collapse in gaming revenues in Macau caused by travel restrictions, including strict requirements for COVID test and lengthy visa procedures.
Source: Investor Presentation
As a result, MGM Resorts switched from a profit of $0.31 per share in last year’s quarter to an adjusted loss of $1.08 per share.
Due to the unprecedented downturn that has resulted from the pandemic, MGM Resorts cut its dividend by 98% in April. Moreover, in May, it issued $750 million of 5-year bonds at 6.750%. The high interest rate reflects the desperation of the company for funds and the high debt load of the company. Net debt is $20.1 billion, which is 130% the current market capitalization of the stock.
On the positive side, on August 20th, 2020, IAC (IAC) reported a 12% stake in MGM Resorts for approximately $1 billion. IAC has a portfolio of brands and digital expertise, which is expected to help MGM Resorts leverage its digital assets. IAC will join the Board of Directors of MGM Resorts. The stock jumped 12% on the announcement.
Nevertheless, due to the headwind of coronavirus, along with a huge debt load, shareholders should not expect a material boost in dividends and share repurchases for the foreseeable future. That said, we expect the pandemic to subside at the second half of 2021 thanks to the massive distribution of vaccines worldwide. MGM Resorts has a positive long-term outlook for conventions and sports betting in the domestic market, as well as the ramp-up of the recently-built MGM Cotai resort, MGM Springfield, and Park MGM.
As soon as the coronavirus crisis comes to an end, MGM Resorts will benefit from these growth drivers. The company will also enhance its earnings growth via its initiative “MGM 2020”, which aims to expand margins by reducing operating costs and enhancing the efficiency of the company.
Due to the headwind from coronavirus, we expect MGM Resorts to report a net loss of $3.50 per share in 2020. Earnings-per-share are expected to gradually turn positive, with expected annual growth of 5% through 2025. After the massive dividend reduction, returns from dividends will be negligible until the full dividend is restored.
Finally, the market has already priced a strong recovery in the stock and hence we expect the valuation multiple of the stock to contract significantly in the upcoming years. That could be an additional headwind for shareholders. Overall, we expect negative total returns from MGM Resorts over the next five years.Casino Stock News Today LiveTop Casino Stock #2: Melco Resorts (MLCO)
Melco Resorts owns and operates casino gaming and entertainment casino resort facilities in Asia. As Melco Resorts is the most leveraged to the gaming activity in Macau in this group of stocks, it is the most vulnerable company to the downturn in the area due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
In 2019, Melco Resorts grew its revenue 11% and its earnings per share 15%, primarily thanks to its strong performance in the mass market table gaming activity. However, conditions have predictably reversed due to the pandemic, with third-quarter revenue declining 85% and adjusted property EBITDA declining to a loss of $76.7 million.

Melco Resorts is expected by analysts to lose $2.70 per share this year. The losses have resulted primarily from the strict travel restrictions in Macau, which requires a negative COVID test from tourists while the issuance of tourist visa has become a lengthy procedure due to the pandemic.
On the bright side, some vaccine studies have reported exciting results and hence billions of vaccines will be distributed worldwide in 2021. It is thus reasonable to expect the pandemic to subside at the second half of 2021. As soon as the effect of coronavirus begins to fade, Melco Resorts has promising growth prospects ahead. It will benefit from the ramp-up of activity in its Morpheus Resort, which opened in mid-2018, and will attract an increasing number of visitors in Cotai thanks to improvements in mass transportation.
Melco Resorts is also expanding its City of Dreams in Macau and is taking steps to open an integrated resort in Yokohama, Japan. It is also developing City of Dreams Mediterranean, which will become the largest integrated resort in Europe. All these initiatives are likely to be significant growth drivers as soon as Macau returns to normal.
On the other hand, due to its extreme leverage to gaming activity in Macau, the stock is highly vulnerable to any negative development related to coronavirus. Therefore, despite the promising growth prospects, investors should hold conservative expectations for Melco.
Overall, we expect 2% average annual growth in earnings per share over the next five years, from a mid-cycle level of $1.00 to $1.10 in 2025. Moreover, the stock is currently trading at 18.7 times its mid-cycle earnings per share. We view the stock as fairly valued and hence we do not expect the valuation of the stock to play a major role in its 5-year return.
Therefore, shareholder returns will be fueled by earnings-per-share growth. The stock had a 3% dividend yield before the pandemic, but the company has suspended its dividend for the foreseeable future in an effort to preserve cash. Therefore, total returns are expected at just ~2% per year until the dividend is restored.
Given its healthy balance sheet, the company is likely to resume paying dividends once the coronavirus crisis ends. On the other hand, income-oriented investors should remain cautious, as the company is highly vulnerable to economic downturns and is very sensitive to any casino-related policy change in China and the ongoing coronavirus crisis.Top Casino Stock #1: Las Vegas Sands (LVS)
Las Vegas Sands is a leading developer and operator of integrated resorts in the U.S. and Asia. Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Las Vegas Sands is facing strong headwinds in Macau and in the U.S. As mentioned above, gaming activity has collapsed in Macau. In addition, due to the propagation of the virus in the U.S., all the casinos in Las Vegas were closed for a considerable period in the second quarter. As a result, Las Vegas Sands is expected to lose approximately $2.00 per share this year.
On the other hand, beyond this year, Las Vegas Sands has promising growth prospects ahead. As Japan legalized casino gambling three years ago, Las Vegas Sands has announced that it intends to open integrated resorts in Tokyo and Yokohama. The company is the favorite bidder in this contest, which is expected to be a significant growth driver, though it will take a few years until the company earns a license and builds its new properties in Japan.
Due to the pandemic, Las Vegas Sands has suspended its dividend since early 2020. However, the company has promising growth potential and is likely to restore its typical high dividend yield as soon as the pandemic subsides, most likely at the second half of 2021. Las Vegas Sands earns the top ranking thanks to these features as well as its strong balance sheet and healthy liquidity.
Source: Investor Presentation
Furthermore, Las Vegan Sands continues to pursue growth by expanding and upgrading its Macau properties. The company launched Four Seasons Tower Suites Macao last year while it also expects to launch the Londoner Macao in January-2021 and expand Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
In addition, Las Vegas Sands will benefit from the debut of the light rail system connecting Macau to the entire China rail network. This project will significantly increase the traffic to the casinos in Macau when the pandemic subsides and the strict travel restrictions in Macau are lifted. Thanks to all these growth drivers, we expect the company to grow its earnings per share by about 4% per year over the next five years off their mid-cycle level of $3.20 per share.
Las Vegas Sands stock previously offered a hefty dividend of $3.08 per share annualized, but the company suspended its dividend in 2020 amid the coronavirus crisis. If the company were to reinstate its dividend at the same level, shares would yield 5.4% at the current stock price.
The company is expected to lose about $2.00 per share in 2020 due to the pandemic but our estimate of its full earnings power in a normal economy is annual earnings-per-share of $3.20. Based on this, the stock has a price-to-earnings ratio of 17.8, which is slightly higher than our fair value estimate of around 17.0. Given 4% earnings growth, a normal 5.6% dividend yield and a modest valuation headwind, we expect Las Vegas Sands to offer a 7.4% average annual return over the next five years.
We also believe that Las Vegas Sands has the strongest balance sheet in its peer group. This means that the company is likely to easily navigat

In late 2020, rumors once again circled the internet about the womanizing 17th-century ruler of France King Louis XIV who was thought to have had a fetish for watching women give birth. Basset was a polite game, but King Louis XIV outlawed it back in 1691. It was during the reign of King Louis XIV that Faro was first mentioned. It first appeared in Southwestern France under the name “Pharaon” only a couple of years after basset had been outlawed. Fast forward a couple of years later, and Faro was outlawed as well. Few monarchs have ruled for longer. Born in 1638, Louis XIV became king at age 4 following the death of his father, Louis XIII, and remained on the throne for the next 72 years. On this day in 1682, Louis XIV moved the French court and government to Versailles. The future French king had first visited the property to escape a smallpox epidemic when he was three years old, and over the course of his life he transformed the once-humble hunting lodge into a palace, unprecedented in its extravagance and a symbol of total monarchy that would eventually topple during the.
On this day in 1682, Louis XIV moved the French court and government to Versailles. The future French king had first visited the property to escape a smallpox epidemic when he was three years old, and over the course of his life he transformed the once-humble hunting lodge into a palace, unprecedented in its extravagance and a symbol of total monarchy that would eventually topple during the French Revolution.
It wasn’t only architectural excellence that Louis XIV was interested in; he was also a fervent art enthusiast. Robert M. Isherwood, who was a professor of history at Vanderbilt University for nearly 30 years and the author of Music in the Service of the King: France in the Seventeenth Century, wrote this about Louis XIV’s artistic interests:
The king earnestly wanted his reign to be famous for its artistic brilliance, and he believed that musicians, poets, painters, sculptors, and architects could preserve his great deeds for posterity. Louis aspired not only to surpass the achievements of classical antiquity but to establish France’s artistic supremacy in Europe.
During Louis XIV’s record 72-year reign, music flourished at Versailles. Buffet noel casino montreal france. Hear some of that music below, and should you feel so inclined, take a virtual tour of the palace and several online exhibitions as you listen.
Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687)King Louis Xiv Gambling Advice
Brought from Florence to Paris as a young boy to help a French noblewoman perfect her Italian, Jean-Baptiste Lully first met a young Louis XIV when the two danced together in a ballet. They forged friendship that would result in Lully spending most of his life working as Master of the King’s Music. Considered the father of French opera, Lully composed Persée the same year Louis XIV moved to Versailles.
The opera was re-created nearly a century later in 1770 when Louis XV completed the palace’s Royal Opera Hall — a venue his great-grandfather never finished. At the time, it was the largest concert hall in Europe, and Lully’s opera would mark both its inauguration and the marriage of the Dauphin (the future Louis XVI) to Marie Antoinette. The lavish performances included a 95-voice choir, 15 soloists, 80 dancers, 100 extras, 80 instrumentalists, five sets, and 530 costumes.
Watch Lully expert Hervé Niquet and the ensemble Concert Spirituel recreate the music for a 2016 recording:
Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre (1665-1729)
Jacquet de La Guerre earned the nickname “la petite merveille” (the small wonder) after appearing as five-year-old prodigy at the court of Louis XIV, singing and playing harpsichord. After regular appearances, she was accepted into the French court as a teenager, where Madame de Montespan, one of Louis’s mistresses, oversaw her musical education.King Louis Xiv Gambling Rules
She composed some of her first pieces at Versailles, spending a few years there before marrying organist Marin de la Guerre in 1684 and moving back to Paris. There, she taught lessons, composed, and performed concerts to great acclaim.
Below, the Bach Players perform her Sonata in D minor for violin, viola da gamba, and harpsichord:
François Couperin (1668-1733)
In June of 1710, Louis XIV’s final building project at Versailles—a chapel complete with a brand new organ— was consecrated. The organ was inaugurated that same day by François Couperin, who at the time was one of four court organists and harpsichord teacher to the royal children.
And promotions soon followed: in 1713 he was given a 20-year royal privilege to publish, resulting in several volumes of keyboard works and chamber music, and in 1717 he was named court harpsichordist. While he’s best known for his harpsichord music, Couperin also penned notable chamber works, including the Concerts royaux he composed for the king’s Sunday evening entertainments:
Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704)
Charpentier’s way into Louis XIV’s court wasn’t easy, thanks to a rivalry with leading royal composer Jean-Baptiste Lully. Charpentier’s patroness, the influential Mademoiselle Marie de Lorraine, Duchess of Guise, introduced him into French high society. Eventually, his music caught the ear of of the King, which sparked the jealously of Lully, who did his best to ensure that Charpentier would never get a royal appointment.
Beyond that, Lully’s royal privilege essentially granted him a monopoly on staging large-scale opera in France, so Charpentier turned his focus to sacred vocal music, composing for the Jesuits, and staging the occasional chamber opera in the home of his patroness. Eventually he earned several royal positions: Master of Music at the Sainte-Chapelle, the king’s private chapel in Paris, and composer for the private masses of the Dauphin, the king’s eldest son.
While in this position, Charpentier snuck in a few of his operas at court, including one that must have been flattering to his patrons: The Pleasures of Versailles. In it, the characters represent the many indulgences that were abundant at the palace, including music, conversation, and gambling.
Michel Richard Delalande (1657-1726)
A contest in 1683 brought Delalande to the court of Louis XIV. The king had asked 15 composers to set the words of the psalm “Beati quorum,” and Delalande’s success marked the beginning of his 40 years in service at the court. As one of the king’s favorite musicians, Delalande worked as a composer, organist, and music teacher for the royal daughters.
He’s mostly known for writing grand motets, a sacred genre that made use of large choirs and an orchestra, and Symphonies pour les Soupers du Roy, music written to accompany the king’s meals—which were, like most things associated with Louis XIV, a grand public spectacle.King Louis Xiv Gambling Laws
Marin Marais (1656-1728)
A student of Lully and a virtuoso on the viola da gamba, Marin Marais was hired as a court musician in 1676 and was shortly thereafter promoted to Violist for the King, a position he held until his retirement in 1725. He is, of course, remembered for his hundreds of composition for various instruments of the viol family, but he also composed several operas at the encouragement of his teacher.
Marais often gave his pieces descriptive, colorful titles, and sometimes penned programmatic music— one memorable example being Tableau de l’Opération de la Taille, an artistic depiction of a risky surgery he endured at age 64 to remove a stone from his bladder.King Louis Xiv Gambling Table

Spell Slots 5e Multiclass

2021年6月1日
Register here: http://gg.gg/ut6gx
I’m jumping back into DMing D&D after decades off, and I have some questions about the 5e multiclassing rules. Specifically, how to determine spell slots when combining a spellcaster class with the Warlock class?
One of my players wants to be a Paladin/Warlock. I’m trying to figure out if the player uses the Paladin advancement chart on pg. 83 or the multiclassing chart on pg. 165 to determine how many spell slots he should have? My confusion stems from the way Pact Magic works with multiclassing.
Basically, if you multiclass a spellcaster and Warlock does that count as 2 spellcasters (so you divide your Paladin levels by 2 rounded down for the purpose of figuring out your spell slots) or just a single spellcaster (so you use the Paladin’s standard spell advancement)?
For example, a Paladin 3/Warlock 3 should have the following spell slots:
1. x3 1st level Paladin spells slots and x2 2nd level Warlock slots.
OR
2. x2 1st level Paladin spells slots and x2 2nd level Warlock slots.
OR
3. Neither, I’m totally doing this wrong.
I’m hoping you guys can help me out!For optimization goblins like me, multiclassing is one of the most important mechanics in 5th Edition D&D. Looking at the various builds I’ve discussed on Mythcreants, only one of them took 20 levels of the same class.* However, for many players, multiclassing can be an intimidating option. With so many possible combinations, how do you pick the best while avoiding possible damage to your character’s viability? In this article, I highlight 10 different multiclass dips that can be used by players of all skill levels to enhance their characters.
Abusing this ability will eat your 1st-level spell slots, so consider some levels in Sorcerer to get Font of Magic so that you can turn higher-level slots into cost-efficient 1st-level spell slots. Channel Divinity: Order’s Demand: If you have sufficient Wisdom to back this up, it can be effective both in and out of combat. Additional Spell Slots: Spell Slots. Level 22 - 1 2nd level spell slot. Level 30 - 1 3rd level spell slot. Level 34 - 1 4th level spell slot. Level 42 - 1 5th level spell slot. Level 50 - 1 5th level spell slot. Aura of Protection Improvement: At level 22, the range of your auras of protection and courage increase to 100 feet. Healing Aura Feature.
Now, before we get started, let’s define some things. First, what is a dip? To me, a dip is the addition of a class to a character for 1 to 5 levels. Any more than that and I no longer consider that addition as eligible for this article. Yes, this definition is somewhat arbitrary, but we have to draw the line somewhere.*
I’d also like to cover how I am ranking these. My main two criteria are the overall power a dip adds to the builds it’s a part of and how widely applicable that dip is across multiple concepts. A dip that is incredibly powerful but only in one very narrow character design will rank lower than a dip that adds a moderate boost to a host of builds. All that being said, let’s take a look at ten useful multiclass dips. 10. Monk 1

Starting off our list is a bit of an odd inclusion. Some people* consider the monk to be one of, if not the weakest classes in 5E. However, for a very narrow set of builds, the ability to wield non-finesse weapons with dexterity using their Martial Arts feature is incredibly useful. One such example is a Bladesinger wizard who wants to dual wield two of the powerful magic quarterstaffs like Staff of Power or Staff of Striking. Honestly, if I weren’t condensing some of the more powerful dips, this one probably wouldn’t have made the list, but I think it’s interesting enough to bear mentioning. 9. Rogue 1
Coming in at number nine is a much stronger class, the rogue. A level 1 dip in this class is the easiest way to gain Expertise,* and an extra 1d6 per round from Sneak Attack can be very good in the early levels. I’ve seen other guides opting for 2 to 3 levels of rogue for the inclusion of Cunning Action and a subclass feature; however, I think the price for gaining those is too high. Cunning Action is incredibly powerful for rogues because they both want to be hidden and don’t have much to do with their bonus action. Most other builds do not fulfill both of those requirements, making the feature much weaker. As for the level 3 subclass feature, nothing rogues gain at that level is worth delaying your main class by that many levels. Still, if you want an easy way to become very good at a couple of skills, rogues are where it’s at. 8. Bard 2
One of the four classes that use Charisma as a main stat, the bard is one of the easier multiclass dips. The purpose of this dip runs similar to the rogue, only instead of specializing with Expertise, the bard dip grants Jack of all Trades, which allows a character to add half their proficiency to any skill check they are not already proficient in. This feature is great as it not only shores up any skill weaknesses but also grants bonuses to rolls like initiative, Counterspell, and Dispel Magic, one of the only ways to get such bonuses. The bard dip does all this while continuing to advance the spell slot progression of any caster character, reducing the impact multiclassing has on a build. 7. Paladin 2
Another charisma class, the paladin is famous in optimization circles for how well it pairs with any of the other three charisma caster classes. If you start a build with 2 levels of paladin, your character will receive all weapon and armor proficiencies, a Fighting Style, and the incredibly powerful Holy Smite. It’s this final feature that pairs so well with casters like the bard or sorcerer, as their increased number of spell slots allows for a greatly increased number of smites than would be available to a monoclassed paladin.* As for warlock, the combination of Hexblade and paladin allows for a character that uses charisma for everything and is one of the strongest builds in the game. While not all paladin dips result in an overpowered character,* there is no denying that 2 levels of paladin go a long way for many character builds. 6. Barbarian – Bear Totem 3
Does sycuan casino drug testing. Rounding out the weaker half of this list is the Bear Totem barbarian. This dip has two incredibly useful features: Reckless Attack and improved Rage. Reckless Attack allows constant access to advantage on all your attacks at the cost of granting your opponents advantage against you. To counter this increased incoming damage, you have your Rage, which is now expanded to halve all forms of damage except psychic. The main reason this dip didn’t rank higher is that, while powerful, these barbarian features are very restrictive. Reckless Attack only works if you’re using strength to attack, a stat that is usually inferior to dexterity or charisma,* and Rage prohibits the casting or maintaining of concentration on spells. This is enough to lock many characters out of this otherwise great dip, but for those who fit the bill, I would highly recommend considering this 3 level inclusion. 5. Sorcerer – Divine Soul 5
Sitting squarely in the middle is the one true sorcerer, the Divine Soul. In another article, I explained how the Divine Soul is miles ahead of any other sorcerer subclass, and that holds true for multiclassing as well. This is one of the largest dips I would suggest, but if you can afford it, the reward is access to 3rd level spells* of both arcane and divine lists. This includes little things like Haste, Fireball, and Spirit Guardians. On top of these powerhouse spells is the sorcerer’s Meta Magic feature, allowing you to twin single-target spells like that Haste I mentioned earlier. For any build that already has access to heavy armor, I find this dip a straight upgrade from cleric, and it is one I’ve worked into multiple builds I’ve written about here on Mythcreants. D D 5e Multiclass Spell Slots4. Cleric – Forge, Life, Nature, Order, Tempest, or War 1
Speaking of cleric, how did this dip make it higher on the list than something I consider an upgrade? Well, notice the qualification I made when talking about sorcerer. Many caster builds don’t already have access to heavy armor, and 1 level of any of these cleric subclasses grants that proficiency without slowing down spell slot progression. Even better, unlike other classes that are often used to grant heavy armor, this cleric dip can be made at any time, as heavy armor is granted as a class feature and is not subject to the reduced proficiency table that governs multiclassing. This makes cleric a very flexible 1 level dip that a huge number of builds can take advantage of, beating out the more powerful but less widely applicable sorcerer. 3. Cleric – Life1 & Druid 1 or Ranger 2
Coming at number three is the only dip I recommend that contains more than a single class, one being the ever-maligned ranger at that. This dip is a great 2 to 3 level investment that means your party will never have to worry about out-of-combat healing again. This is done by combining the Life cleric’s Disciple of Life with the spell Goodberry. This turns each casting of Goodberry from restoring 10 hit points to 40. For most builds I’ve made, I prefer the 1 cleric/1 druid. However, if your build can’t live without its metal armor, then 2 levels of ranger will do the trick. With the recent nerf to Healing Spirit, this combo is now the premier healing method, and your party will love you every time the Goodberry sack* comes out. 2. Fighter 1Spell Slots 5e Multiclass
Simple, yet effective, the fighter claims the second-place spot. There is so much to love when taking your starting level in fighter. You get every weapon and armor proficiency under the sun, a Fighting Style at level 1,* and the all-important constitution save proficiency for caster builds. On top of that, the fighter’s multiclass stat requirement is the easiest to meet, being a 13 in dexterity or strength, meaning almost every build can afford it without compromising their stats. This flexible dip has made its way into many of my builds, from Bladesinger wizards to WrestleMania bards, and the fighter dip always pays off. 1. Warlock – Hexblade or Fiend 1, 2, 3, or 5
Finally, at number one, we have the entry I’m sure many of you saw coming. Always the dip and never the main: the warlock. This class is by far the strongest multiclass dip in 5E. So much of this class’s power is frontloaded in its first 5 levels. Hexblade is notorious for its ability to turn charisma into a character’s martial stat on top of medium armor, shield, and martial weapon proficiencies, plus a good single-target debuff. If none of those features interest you, then the Fiend patron offers a renewable source of temporary hit points whenever you kill something. Alongside these subclass features comes spells like Hex and Eldritch Blast, the best cantrip in the game, all at level 1. Dnd 5e Spell Slots Multiclass
Level 2 introduces Eldritch Invocations like the ability to see through magical darkness and a massive damage increase to your Eldritch Blast. At level 3 you gain a pact, almost a subclass in its own right, offering things like every ritual spell you can lay your hands on or a special familiar that maximizes all healing dice rolled to heal you. Finally, at level 5, you get 3rd level spell slots that recharge on short rest. This is especially good for Fiend warlocks, as their subclass spell list includes Fireball.
All these features add up to the most flexible multiclass dip. Pairing well with bard, fighter, paladin, sorcerer, wizard, and rogue, this dip blows away the competition. The only problem I’ve seen with this dip is its power tricking players into believing that a monoclassed warlock will continue to be as relatively strong at later levels, which sadly it is not.
And there you have it, ten multiclass dips that I hopefully explained well enough for you to slot directly into your next character build. I’d like to give an honorable mention to Moon druid 2, but it was simply too narrow a dip to beat out the more interesting monk inclusion.
If you haven’t tried multiclassing yet, I highly encourage it. Not only does it result in more powerful characters, but it opens up a host of new roleplay opportunities for you to enjoy while adventuring.

When people see top poker pros winning pots worth millions of dollars on TV, they naturally feel inspired to try their luck at the Texas Hold’em tables.Texas Holdem Poker Tricks And CheatsTricks To Win Texas Holdem Poker
Here are 10 great Texas Hold’em tips for beginners, which will help them become poker pros as quickly as possible.Texas Hold’em Poker Tips And Tricks
*Play the best hand The objective of Texas Hold’em Poker is to create a strong poker hand as it is the strongest hand that wins the jackpot when it is time for showdown. So before contributing to the pot, players should first decide if their hand will help them win the jackpot. This crucial decision must be made when players get their first face-down cards, also referred to as “hole card.”
*Understand opponents The best Texas Hold’em players play a tight and aggressive game. Fortunately for the pros, a number of players play loosely, which means that a careful player can make a plenty of money. Players should watch their opponents carefully. If an opponent chooses to play a weak hand, he/she is most probably a poker fish who will end up losing more than winning anything. If opponents play weak hands, you can make money, provided your hands are better than your opponents’ hands.
*Create the strongest hand All good Texas Hold’em players aim at creating the strongest hand, and this strong hand must be created before all the betting rounds are over and all the community cards have been dealt on the table. The strongest hand at showdown depends on a number of factors, and one cannot definitely say that this is the strongest hand.
*Pre-flop Play Card analysis is something that must be done pre-flop. In fact, players should never continue to the flop until and unless they are sure about what exactly they intend to do with the hands dealt to them.

This video has been brought to you DannyHoldsEm
*Good Pre-flop Hands
*Pairs of Aces, Queens, Kings, and Jacks – These are lucrative hands and players must certainly bet on them.
*High value cards – Cards such as Ace and King, Ace and Jack, King and Queen, and others have great potential.
*Suited connectors such as Eight of Spades and Nine of Spades or Queen of Spades and Jack of Spades – Simultaneously, players should avoid playing cards just because they are suited. They should not only be suited, but also connected.
*Pocket pairs such as a pair of deuces or a pair of tens – Although not high-value cards, they can help players create a strong hand.
*Combinations of Aces with other cards of the same suit – These cards can be used to create the nut flush.
*Post-flop Play
After the flop, it is time to critically analyze one’s hand in relation to the community cards. If players’ chances of making a strong hand have diminished, they must immediately fold. On the other hand, if their chances of making a strong hand have increased, they shouldn’t hesitate to bet.
*Playing at the Turn
Here, most of the players have already folded. The players left at the table are still playing for a very good reason. If an opponent raises your bet, it usually means that the opponent has a better hand. In this case, it is better to fold and leave the table.
*Playing on the River The game usually turns into a heads-up match, which means that players should be extra alert. They should use all the information they have gathered so far to determine if their opponent has a stronger hand. For example, if the opponent had raised pre-flop, bet on the flop and on the turn, and has chosen to place another bet on the river, it usually means that the opponent has a great hand.Players’ moves on the river depend a lot on the gaming situation.
*Be AlertTexas Hold’em players always need to be in alert mode, analyzing cards on the table and the cards in their hands, their opponents’ behavior, and other factors. Players need to take in as much information as possible and take advantage of this information.
*Table Position
Players should also give importance to their position at the poker table as it can have a major impact on their game.

Jump Poker Rules

The rules of 7 Card Stud, while a little trickier to pick up than Texas Hold’em, are also fairly easy to understand so you can jump into a free 7 Card Stud game online within minutes if you so choose. Optimal 7 Card Strategy can take a bit longer to master but it’s well worth putting the effort in as most players aren’t particularly talented at. According to the official poker rules, this game is played with a standard 52-card deck containing cards from Deuces to Aces. Best casino stocks to buy. While poker moviesseem to like the idea of adding Jokers in the deck as well, this is not the case in real poker games, and you will hardly find any poker action that includes Jokers in the mix.

Jump Poker Rules Game
*Whenever possible, all rules are the same as those that apply to live games.
*Initial seating is determined by random draw or assignment. (For a one-table satellite event, cards to determine seating may be left faceup so the earlier entrants can pick their seat, since the button is assigned randomly.)
*A change of seat is not allowed after play starts, except as assigned by the director.
*The appropriate starting amount of chips will be placed on the table for each paid entrant at the beginning of the event, whether the person is present or not. Absent players will be dealt in, and all chips necessary for antes and blinds will be put into the pot.
*If a paid entrant is absent at the start of an event, at some point an effort will be made to locate and contact the player. If the player requests the chips be left in place until arrival, the request will be honored. If the player is unable to be contacted, the chips may be removed from play at the discretion of the director anytime after a new betting level has begun or a half-hour has elapsed, whichever occurs first.
*A starting stack of chips can be placed in a seat to accommodate late entrants (so all antes and blinds have been appropriately paid). An unsold seat will have such a stack removed at a time left to the discretion of the director.
*Limits and blinds are raised at regularly scheduled intervals.
*If there is a signal designating the end of a betting level, the new limits apply on the next deal. (A deal begins with the first riffle of the shuffle.)
*The lowest denomination of chip in play is removed from the table when it is no longer needed in the blind or ante structure. All lower-denomination chips that are of sufficient quantity for a new chip will be changed up directly. The method for removal of odd chips is to deal one card to a player for each odd chip possessed. Cards are dealt clockwise starting with the No. 1 seat, with each player receiving all cards before any cards are dealt to the next player. The player with the highest card by suit gets enough odd chips to exchange for one new chip, the second-highest card gets to exchange for the next chip, and so forth, until all the lower-denomination chips are exchanged. If an odd number of lower-denomination chips are left after this process, the player with the highest card remaining receives a new chip if he has half or more of the quantity of lower-denomination chips needed, otherwise nothing.
*An absent player is always dealt a hand, and is put up for blinds, antes, and the forced bet if low.
*A player must be present at the table to stop the action by calling ’time.’
*A player must be at his seat when the first card is dealt on the initial deal or he will have a dead hand. “At your seat” means within reach of your chair. This rule is not intended to condone players being out of their seats while involved in a hand.
*As players are eliminated, tables are broken in a pre-set order, with players from the broken tables assigned to empty seats at other tables.
*The number of players at each table is kept reasonably balanced by the transfer of a player as needed. With more than six tables, table size is kept within two players. With six tables or fewer, table size is kept within one player.
*In all events, there is a redraw for seating when the field is reduced to three tables, two tables, and one table. (Redrawing at three tables is not mandatory in small tournaments with only four or five starting tables.)
*A player who declares all in and loses the pot, then discovers that one or more chips were hidden, is not entitled to benefit from this. That player is eliminated from the tournament if the opponent had sufficient chips to cover the hidden ones (A rebuy is permitted if allowable by the rules of that event). If another deal has not yet started, the director may rule the chips belong to the opponent who won that pot, if that obviously would have happened with the chips out in plain view. If the next deal has started, the discovered chips are removed from the tournament.
*If a player lacks sufficient chips for a blind or a forced bet, the player is entitled to get action on whatever amount of money remains. A player who posts a short blind and wins does not need to make up the blind.
*All players must leave their seats immediately after being eliminated from an event.
*Showing cards from a live hand during the action injures the rights of other players still competing in an event, who wish to see contestants eliminated. A player may not show any cards during a deal (unless the event has only two remaining players). If a player deliberately shows a card, that hand may be ruled dead and the player penalized.
*Inappropriate behavior like throwing cards that go off the table may be punished with a penalty such as being dealt out for a length of time. A severe infraction such as abusive or disruptive behavior may be punished by eviction from the tournament.
*The deck is not changed on request. Decks change when the dealers change, unless there is a damaged card.
*In all tournament games using a dealer button, the starting position of the button is determined by dealing for the high card.
*The dealer button remains in position until the appropriate blinds are taken. Players must post all blinds every round. Because of this, the button may stay in front of the same player for two consecutive hands.
*New players are dealt in immediately unless they sit down in the small blind or button position. In these two cases, they must wait until the button passes.
*In heads-up play with two blinds, the small blind is on the button.
*At stud, if a downcard on the initial hand is dealt face up, a misdeal is called.
*If a player announces the intent to rebuy before cards are dealt, that player is playing behind and is obligated to make the rebuy.
*All hands are turned face up whenever a player is all in and betting action is complete.
*If two (or more) players go broke during the same hand, the player starting the hand with the larger amount of money finishes in the higher tournament place for point and cash awards.
*Management is not required to rule on any private deals, side bets, or redistribution of the prize pool among finalists.
*Private agreements by remaining players in an event regarding distribution of the prize pool are not condoned. (However, if such an agreement is made, the director has the option of ensuring that it is carried out by paying those amounts.) Any private agreement that excludes one or more active competitors is improper by definition.
*A tournament event is expected to be played until completion. A private agreement that removes all prize money from being at stake in the competition is unethical.
*Management retains the right to cancel any event, or alter it in a manner fair to the players.Jump Poker Rules GamesJump Poker Rules PokerThe rules above are from ’Robert Rules of Poker’ which is authored by Robert Ciaffone, better known in the poker world as Bob Ciaffone, a leading authority on cardroom rules.

As always, you can play for free and see how good the game is by yourself. Playing slot games on our website costs nothing at all.
*You can qualify for a payout by landing at least 3 same symbols side by side on any of the betlines. There are 10 lines you can use, and they connect both sides of the reels. You can see what they look like after scoring a win.
*Each spin will cost coins. You can set the bet value to your liking. Just click on the section that says “total bet”. As you can see, there are multiple options starting from 10 coins per spin (minimum) and 20,000 coins per spin (maximum). The choice is yours but we recommend playing with the maximum value. Keep reading to learn why.
*You are now ready to play the game. Click the green button to spin the reels once and keep doing this until you win a prize (or activate a bonus feature). The Wild Life Symbol Payouts
You will play The Wild Life slot machine with a total of 9 symbols. Five of them are represented by wild animal pictures, and they pay more, between 20 and 2,500 coins. The rest of the symbols are play card signs which pay between 10 and 50 coins. As can be guessed, landing picture symbols will be much better. (Check the paytable below to get an idea for how much you can win.) In addition to these normal symbols, there are two special ones too. These are wild and scatter. None of them has a payout value, but both offer exclusive features that will help you to score higher winnings.
*Wild Symbol:A picture of a lion. As is usually the case, the wild symbol substitutes all other symbols and completes all winning combinations. The only exception is the scatter: It cannot be substituted by the wild symbol.
*Scatter Symbol: A picture of the Africaт continent. It is used to trigger the bonus round, as will be explained below.
Now, let’s proceed with the paytable. This table shows the symbol payouts. The most important thing you need to remember is that these are fixed values, they do not change according to the bet amount. In other words, whether you are playing with the minimum or maximum bet, the symbols will always pay the same number of coins. To know your exact win, you need to multiply this number by the bet per line.

50The Wild Life Casino Slot Machines Bonus Features
The Wild Life slot machine offers two bonus features in total. One of them is always active and gets triggered randomly. You cannot control or activate it by landing a specific symbol set. Simply put, it can happen anytime. The other one needs to be triggered by landing scatter symbols, and it can be re-triggered multiple times. Here are the details you need to know:
*Expanding Wilds This is the bonus feature that is always active. As mentioned above, the Lion (Wild) only appears on reels 2, 3, and 4. Moreover, it can substitute a symbol to complete a winning combo. When this happens, it also expands and covers the entire reel. During the free spins bonus round, the wild symbol also becomes “sticky”. This means it stays on the reel, even after expanding. As can be guessed, this greatly increases your chances to trigger more winning combos.
*Free Spins Round: This is the classic free spins round you are used to seeing. In order to activate it, you need to land at least three Lion pictures anywhere on the reels. Note that the emphasis is on the “anywhere.” Even if the scatters do not land on a payline, they can still activate the bonus round as long as you land at least three of them in total. In this context, landing 3, 4, and 5 scatter symbols anywhere on the playing grid will award 10, 15, and 20 free spins respectively. The free spins round will start automatically, and you can win 2 more spins for every Lion (scatter) that appears during the round. And you can re-trigger this bonus feature too, up to 200 free spins in total.
The randomness of the Expanding Wilds feature affects the RTP rate of the slot machine. This game has a dynamic RTP range, instead of a fixed figure. The return to player percentage of The Wild Life slot changes between 92.16% and 96.16%.How to Win The Wild Life Slot Game – Our Suggestions
We cannot guarantee that you will surely win big in The Wild Life slot machine, but we can give two suggestions:
*Play with the maximum bet amount if it’s a fun mode, and you don’t risk your money). The paytable is fixed, but the betline wins are multiplied by the line bet value. In other words, the bet values still affect the overall payout.
*Play for free as long as possible before switching to real money mode. Play The Wild Life slot in the fun mode until you learn all the rules and find out if this is the right game for you. Play with real money only after you are satisfied with both.Try The Wild Life Free Slots or Play for Real

Easy to access by a combination of the Metro and a shuttle bus, Casino de Montreal is the place where those who love games of chance can find a really good time. The first thing that will get your attention when you first see the Casino de Montreal is the design and size of the building.
The casino is the largest casino in Canada and when you see it you will have no doubt. The casino is comprised of 3 buildings which are joined together the centre building has 6 floors.
The architecture is interesting. From certain angles it looks like a cruise liner whilst from other angles it looks like some type of giant fan. When driving on the highway especially at night it looks very inviting as it is all lit up. The architectural style is something known as deconstructivism and makes for some very interesting effects.
The establishment has 3200 slot machines and more than 115 gaming tables. You can play a variety of card games such as Blakcjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker and Texas Hold ’em. There are craps tables and roulette wheels. Every gambler will find something to play. There are four restaurants and three bars in the establishment, if you should decide to take a break from trying to entice lady luck you can get something to eat right there. Each bar and restaurant offers a slightly different vibe and atmosphere. The Poker bar offers large screens where you can watch international poker tournaments while enjoying a meal.
The 24-hour-a-day, fully renovated casino now houses three bars and six restaurants, ranging from high-end to deli style. You can even come just to look at the architecture—the main building was. The casino has more than 3,000 slot machines, a keno lounge, a high-stakes gaming area, and 120 tables for baccarat, craps, blackjack, roulette, and various types of poker, as well as four new.
If gambling is your thing or if you just like to watch other people get lucky, take the time to visit the Casino de Montreal. You will find yourself caught up in the excitement of the place. Even if you aren’t into gaming the Casino is worth a look just to take in its intriguing design and architecture. 3 Casino Stocks to Buy, Despite Covid-19 Concerns As Covid-19 cases rise around the country, investors betting on a casino resurgence may be pressing their luck. Casino share prices dived sharply as the coronavirus crisis began to take a grip in the United States. But could now be the ideal time to make an investment in online casino stocks? Land-based casinos seem set to stay shut for some time with lockdown conditions likely to be extended. The pandemic is yet to.
As the saying goes, the house always wins. Casinos operate strong business models, as casinos earn a virtually guaranteed profit from the sum of the bets they receive. The relatively attractive economics of casinos make the industry worthy of a closer look.

Investors may be particularly intrigued by the earnings growth and dividends of the major casino stocks. The 4 major publicly-traded casino stocks were paying dividends to their shareholders before the onset of the pandemic, but they have either suspended or drastically reduced their dividends due to the severe downturn in their business.
If you are looking for a safer basket of dividend growth stocks, consider the Dividend Aristocrats. They are an elite group of 65 stocks in the S&P 500 Index with 25+ years of rising dividends.

In this article, we will compare the expected 5-year total annual returns of the four major casino stocks.Table Of Contents
For this article, stocks are ranked in order of least attractive to most attractive. While 5-year expected returns are incorporated in the rankings, we have also utilized a qualitative screen based on balance sheet strength and overall business quality.

Overall, we expect negative total returns from MGM Resorts over the next five years.Top Casino Stock #2: Melco Resorts (MLCO)
Source: Investor Presentation
It will benefit from the ramp-up of activity in its Morpheus Resort, which opened in mid-2018, and will attract an increasing number of visitors in Cotai thanks to improvements in mass transportation.Best Casino Stocks To Buy
The company launched Four Seasons Tower Suites Macao last year while it also expects to launch the Londoner Macao in January-2021 and expand Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.Best Casino Gaming Stocks To Buy
This means that the company is likely to easily navigate through the ongoing coronavirus crisis

“Do casinos drug test for employment?” is a question I keep getting asked by our readers. There are plenty of casinos in the United States with job openings. As a result, you might very well find a job at a casino near you.
Most companies and workplaces screen applicants for drugs before hiring. As a result, recreational drug users are at a disadvantage when seeking employment.
Having enough information on whether or not a prospective employer drug tests or not can help a job hunter better prepare for an interview.Casinos Facts
Working at a casino can be very exciting. There are always things happening and new people to meet. The lights and noise are things people really love. Casinos have been around for decades and their presence is certainly not in decline in America.
There are approximately 1,200 casinos currently active in the States. You’ll most likely find an active casino near you where you can apply for a job.
There are a variety of jobs at casinos. You can work for example as a dealer, kitchen crew member, repair person (for slots and other equipment), waiter/waitress, or even as security specialist.
There’s no shortage of jobs available at casinos in America. You can probably get a job at one with little, or no, experience. As long as you show enthusiasm and commitment, you should be fine.Casinos Drug Test Policy in 2021
Casinos maintain a strict no drug policy. Despite the heavy prevalence of alcohol at casinos, these drinks are for customers who go to play and have a good time. Casinos workers aren’t allowed to drink or use drugs on the job.
Some of the most commonly tested substances for employees at casinos are marijuana, methamphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and opioids. The testing for marijuana and amphetamines is particularly prevalent in the casino industry because they’re used more frequently than other substances. What to Expecting During Casinos Hiring Process
The hiring process varies from casino to casino. It depends on which casino you’re applying to and the availability of jobs there. A casino in need of workers will hire people faster than one that is loaded with employees. Additionally, the administration and management of some casinos runs more smoothly than others.
Casinos that have great management will probably have a faster hiring process. The average duration is about a week. You start by submitting an application, and then if interested they’ll call you for an interview.
If you pass the interview, you’ll probably be able to work very soon without delay. A few days of orientation might be required at some casinos, but these are usually with pay so there’s nothing to worry about.Do Casinos Do Pre-Employment Drug Test?
While casinos are places to have fun and play for customers, that’s not what they’re supposed to be for employees. For dealers, waiters, repairmen, and other types of employees, casinos are a workplace just like any other.
The fact that customers are drinking and letting loose doesn’t mean that employees can let their guard down. Employees must stay sober, sharp and alert while on the job.
Almost all casinos require a pre-employment drug test for applicants. Failing to pass the drug test can cost you any chance of getting the job.
That’s why we recommend abstaining from drugs for at least a month before going in for an interview at which you may be asked to take a drug test. The longer you can abstain from drugs before the interview, the better your chances of passing the test and getting the job.
Casinos are decent places to work whether for the long run or short term. Failing to pass the entry drug test would be a shame as it’ll most likely stop you from getting a decent job that pays well.Do Casinos Do Random and Pre-Promotional Drug Test?
You will be required to sign an employment contract after being hired at a casino. A clause in the contract will no doubt state that the casino has the right to drug test you at any time.
However, this clause is not often enforced. Some employees report that they have been randomly tested while working at a casino; but such reports are rare.
However, being involved in a work accident at a casino will definitely initiate a drug test. Going to work while under the influence has an impact on your performance and makes it more likely for you to get into such an accident.
People don’t often get promotions at casinos. Jobs there are usually temporary with somewhat of a quick turnover. It’s not clear whether or not casinos drug test their employees as a prerequisite to promoting them.
To find out more about this, we recommend you ask people who have worked there a long time about this issue as they’ll be able to tell you that specific casino’s policy. What Kind of Drug Test Do Casinos Use?
The overwhelming majority of casinos use urine drug tests to screen applicants and employees. You’ll need to urinate in a container so they can test for the drugs I talked about earlier.
Only a minority of casinos drug test employees using hair drug tests, which are much more challenging to pass. Can You Fail Your Drug Test for Using Prescription Drugs?
You can’t fail a drug test for being on prescription drugs. However, you should tell your manager that you’re on a prescription drug that may show up positive on your drug screen before the test. They won’t be allowed to exclude you from getting the job if that’s the case.
To verify your claim, you can give them the contact information of your physician. They can contact him or her to confirm that you’re on a prescription drug that may show up positive on a drug screen. Neither you, nor your doctor, should tell them what you’re taking or why you’re taking it as that is personal information. How to Pass Drug Test at Casino?Urine Drug Test
If you face a urine drug test while applying for a job at a casino, the following facts will help you to choose the proper approach in order to increase your odds of passing the test.
So, if you are:
*A light user – you might test positive for THC for up to 4-5 days from the time of your last use,
*A moderate user – you might test positive for up to 10-12 days after your last use, and
*A heavy user – you might test positive from 35 to 90 days.
So, if you are a light or moderate user, abstaining for the above mentioned number of days should be enough to detox your body naturally. If you don’t have enough time to cleanse your body naturally, you might consider using on the day of your drug test a detox drinks like Mega Clean or Herbal Clean QCarbo32.
If you are a heavy user, you should take your body detoxification process seriously and cleanse your body naturally or with a help of a whole body detox program. Such programs significantly speed up the bodies cleansing process. So far, I have seen that the most effective way to detox the body is with the 10 day Toxin Rid whole body detox program.

We have seen instances where heavy users have used synthetic urine when they knew that their urine test would be unsupervised. However, there is always the risk of being caught and facing dire consequences of such an action – such as immediate termination of employment.Hair Drug Test
Luckily for marijuana users who are facing a hair drug test, there are three effective hair cleansing methods that should maximize your odds of passing the test.
These are the Macujo, Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment and Jerry G methods.
So far, we have seen that the best results users have achieved are by combining the Macujo and Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment methods, with Ultra Clean shampoo used on their hair drug test day.
After completing multiple hair cleansing methods, it is recommended using an express home hair drug test. This will help find out where you stand and let you know if you should try extra hair cleansing methods or not.

Casinos are exciting places to work. I received many questions about whether or not they drug test people before hiring them. The answer is that yes, almost all casinos require employees to pass a drug test before hiring them.

Good overview of how a therapist might use CBT with an addicted gambler. Though, as I said in the chapter on CBT, I believe the CBT therapist should stop claiming that addicted gamblers will somehow be cured when their “faulty thinking” about winning is corrected. The idea that addicted slot machine players don’t know that “in the long run” they will loose, is absurd. They know that, but they also know that this time they might actually win. They know that this time they might even win a jackpot. They know this because they have done it many times in the past. That argument may seem logical, but it is simply not persuasive to the addicted gambler.Cbt And Gambling
My belief is that the best way to use CBT with addicted gamblers is to learn how to understand and combat urges.
